thesis statements

1) In William Egglestons' guide he portrays his images as relaxed; he trys to show his viewers the reality of life in the 1970's and the social/cultural concerns of that time.
2) William Eggleston chose to add unique objects in his pictures to try and get his viewers to dig deeper into the role of art in society.
3) William Eggleston shows the social and cultural concerns of the 1970's by his use of color and landscape in his pictures.

Stephen Shore

Stephen Shore October 8, 1947-present.
Stephen Shore is a self taught photographer. He started out at the age of 6 using a dark-room kit then three years later he received his first 35mm camera and upgraded to taking color photos. By the age of 24 he was the second artist to have his own exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He takes his photos banal scenes and objects in the U.S.
